Update for all services – August 5, 2021
With the ongoing challenges of the COVID 19 outbreak, we have made the following adjustments to our services. For our safety and yours we are asking that everyone wears a mask and uses hand sanitizer when using our services or entering our building. Staff and volunteers do screening and temperature checks daily. We also screen all clients for Covid related symptoms by asking questions when booking or attending an appointment.
Brantford Food Bank Services:
The Brantford Food Bank is located at 1100 Clarence St and is closed on Mondays. This closure allows our staff and volunteers to prepare for the week. This includes cleaning, sorting food donations and preparation of food kits for the rest of the week. We are open Tuesday – Friday.
The Food Bank continues to modify intake and food distribution to ensure social distancing and good hygiene practices. We are running by appointment only. The Food Bank intake office is only open to 1 person at a time and we ask that you only arrive at your appointment time, if there is a client in the intake office we ask that you wait outside until they are finished. Food pickups will be provided outside the Food Bank entrance, please dress accordingly.
If you require assistance, the appointment desk can be reached at 519-751-4357 x 225 Monday – Friday from 9:00am – 4:00pm.
Food donations can be dropped off at 1100 Clarence St from Monday – Friday 9:00am – 11:45am & 1:00pm – 3:45pm. We ask that you please take all donations to the back of the building (our entrance is located off of Newport St) you will see a fenced in area with a loading dock.
Monetary donations can be dropped off upstairs in our Administrative Office in suite 202. We are open Monday – Friday from 8:30am – 4:30pm. Donations can also be made through our website www.BrantfordFoodBank.ca, over the phone with credit card or through the mail. In person services at 1100 Clarence St Suite 102 are by appointment only. Please contact our office at 519-751-4357 x 312 to make an appointment or email firstname.lastname@example.org if you require assistance. Employment Services can be reached Monday – Friday from 8:30am – 4:30pm.
Information for the 2021 school backpack program will be released on our website and Facebook page when information becomes available.
Our tax clinic is currently closed for the season.
