There has been a lot of discussion around the reduction of food waste in Canada. Whether food waste takes place in the grocery stores, restaurants or in our own homes, Canadians are throwing away one-third of all food being produced.
France and the U.K. have taken steps to help with their food waste and hopefully Canada will be able to follow their lead.
Food waste not only impacts the amount of garbage produced but also increases the cost of food prices. This impacts everyone, and especially those that are already struggling to pay their grocery bills.
